And you can't build trust if you don't listen.
Walking into Green and Parry last July, the first thing I did wasn't announce changes. I asked questions. What works? What doesn't? What frustrates you?
Within weeks, the team weren't waiting for me to tell them what to change. They were telling me.
Four months later, we'd integrated completely. New systems, restructured roles, modern workflows. And the team were driving it.
Trust isn't about credentials. It's about showing up, asking real questions, and genuinely caring about the answer.
If you're stepping into an acquisition or new leadership role, listening isn't a
nice-to-have. It's foundation.
