United for Ukraine

On Thursday 10th March Green and Parry announced how we would take a stand and help those affected by the conflict ongoing in Ukraine. By the following Thursday, three van-loads of donations left for Ukraine and the Polish-Ukrainian border due to the generosity of our community in Byfleet and the surrounding areas. Esther, our managing director, quickly set out her wish for our business to help. However, she commended the generosity of our local community:

"Firstly, we have to say a massive thank you to the whole of Byfleet and the surrounding villages. People came from places like Cobham, Addlestone, Weybridge and Woking. The response was overwhelming, and I am sure that people can see from the photos the sheer willingness to help Ukraine in the hour of need."

Through the power of social media, we asked for donations to be dropped off at our office at 97 High Road, Byfleet. It is fair to say we were inundated with donations, to which we are very grateful! We required sanitary products, first aid equipment, medication, toiletries and head torches. Within three days, we had our first van full. We then made arrangements for a second van to leave for Ukraine and then the third load, via Fair Oaks Airport, Surrey, to go for Ukraine.
